Fibergrate has been successful in securing the contract to supply their Safe-T-Span Phenolic pultruded grating and stair treads for the Shell Bonga FPSO.
The hull, which was built in the far east, will arrive on the Tyne in October. The topsides will be installed in the UK to create a 300,000 tonne FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) vessel, which will operate off the coast of Nigeria.
Fibergrate will supply over 4,000 square metres of grating and 1,100 stair treads.
